Contribute your expertise and technical skills in a dynamic operating room environment, supporting high-quality intraoperative patient care. Work alongside experienced surgical teams to ensure each procedure runs smoothly by assisting with the full spectrum of operating room responsibilities. This contract opportunity focuses solely on intraoperative patient care and operating room services, excluding PACU, anesthesia, pre-op holding, and central sterile functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures.

Retract tissues and pass instruments, supplies, and medications to the surgeon during operations.

Assist surgical staff with technical aspects of operative procedures.

Monitor, maintain, and replenish operating room instruments and supplies.

Support operating room functions, including both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases.

Adhere strictly to infection control and safety protocols.

Collaborate with surgical staff to address patient needs during procedures.

May contribute to perfusion services and other intraoperative support functions as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

Proven experience in an ORT (Operating Room Technician) or similar perioperative nursing position.

In-depth understanding of operating room procedures, equipment, and sterile technique.

Ability to react quickly, anticipate team needs, and stay focused under pressure.

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Collaborative, professional demeanor in team settings.

Relevant certification or licensure in Nursing or Surgical Technology (as required by state or facility guidelines).
