Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)

Clinical experience as a Nursing – ORT

Thorough understanding of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation

Strong ability to anticipate needs of the surgical team

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to maintaining patient safety standards

Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure situations

Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up necessary instruments and equipment

Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and organized

Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures, providing instruments and supplies as needed

Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical process

Monitor and track supplies to support uninterrupted case flow

Handle specimens and communicate effectively with lab personnel

Assist in post-operative instrument processing and room turnover
