This 26-week contract position calls for experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to provide crucial support at a psychiatric hospital setting. You will work with patients facing significant behavioral health challenges, ensuring safety and therapeutic outcomes within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Schedule:

36–48 hours per week, depending on unit needs

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Overtime potentially available based on facility needs

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct psychiatric nursing care consistent with established policies and physician directives

Safely administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions

Conduct patient assessments, monitor mental and physical status, and maintain thorough documentation

Respond promptly to psychiatric and medical emergencies utilizing established clinical protocols

Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and support personnel to coordinate care

Develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Promote safety by adhering to behavioral health standards and employing de-escalation techniques

Provide patient and family education regarding care plans, medications, and discharge processes

Requirements:

Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license as per state regulations

Previous experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or acute care nursing preferred

Current BLS certification (required)

CPI, MOAB, or other crisis intervention training (preferred; may be required before assignment begins)

Ability to meet all pre-employment screenings and onboarding requirements
