Job Title: Psychiatric Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)  26-Week Contract

Location: Warm Springs, Montana

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a 26-week contract assignment at a psychiatric hospital in Warm Springs, Montana. This role involves providing direct patient care and support to individuals receiving behavioral health and psychiatric treatment in a secure clinical environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with patients experiencing mental health challenges and committed to maintaining a safe, therapeutic setting.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week

  • Available shifts:

  • Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Evenings: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  • Overtime may be available based on facility needs but is not guaranteed

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meals

  • Observe, monitor, and document patient behaviors, mood changes, and safety concerns

  • Support therapeutic activities and structured programming as directed by nursing staff

  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment by following behavioral health safety protocols

  • Assist nursing staff with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers

  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status

  • Follow all facility policies related to confidentiality, infection control, and patient safety

  • Requirements:

  • Active CNA certification (state requirements applicable)

  • Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care settings preferred

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-acuity or behavioral situations

  • Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)

  • Ability to pass required background screening, drug screening, and onboarding requirements
