As a registered nurse specializing in psychiatric care, you'll work within a highly respected acute care hospital recognized for its outstanding commitment to clinical quality and patient safety. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with providers, therapists, social workers, and other staff to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and monitoring for changes in patient condition or mental status.
  • Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic responses and side effects.
  • Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, medications, and coping strategies.
  • Respond efficiently and calmly to psychiatric emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention skills.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.
  • Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license.
  • Minimum of one year of recent psychiatric or mental health nursing experience preferred.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Empathy, professionalism, and commitment to high-quality patient care.
