Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a cath lab setting
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac medications, procedures, and patient monitoring
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, technologists, and other nurses
  • Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

    • Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization procedures and interventions
  • Prepare patients for cardiac procedures, ensuring informed consent and pre-procedure assessments
  • Monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout procedures
  • Administer medications as ordered and manage patient sedation levels
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, nursing interventions, and patient responses
  • Provide post-procedure care, assessing for complications and ensuring patient stability during recovery
  • Ensure procedural equipment is sterile, operational, and properly maintained
  • Educate patients and families on procedure details, possible risks, and aftercare instructions
