This opportunity offers hands-on experience in a high-acuity Emergency Room environment, supporting patients at critical moments. Nurses will rotate shifts, providing a valuable combination of teamwork and independence within a fast-paced setting.

Schedule:

  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Four weeks of nights followed by four weeks of days (or vice versa, based on rotation)
  • Contract assignment
  • Available start dates: April 6 or April 20

    • Qualifications:

  • Current, active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in an Emergency Room setting
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
  • Strong assessment, triage, and critical-thinking skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent health conditions
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and implement care plans
  • Handle rapid assessments, initiate interventions, and monitor patient responses
  • Document clinical care thoroughly and accurately in the medical record
  • Provide support, education, and reassurance to patients and families during high-stress situations
  • Uphold safety, infection prevention, and hospital standards at all times
