Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Specialized experience working in an Operating Room (OR)
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures and aseptic technique
  • Exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures, ensuring strict adherence to sterile techniques
  • Prepare the OR by setting up instruments and supplies; verify equipment functionality
  • Monitor and document patient status throughout the perioperative phases
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Anticipate surgeon needs and surgical case requirements
  • Provide compassionate support and education to patients and families regarding procedures and postoperative care
  • Uphold infection control policies and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
