Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license required
  • Proven experience in a PACU or Pre-Op setting
  • Proficient in patient assessment, IV insertion, airway management, and medication administration
  • Strong critical thinking and rapid response skills
  • Ability to educate and support patients and families during the perioperative process
  • Flexibility and adaptability within fast-paced environments
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

    • Core Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients’ recovery from anesthesia, ensuring stability and comfort
  • Manage pre-op preparation, including patient education, assessments, and coordination with surgical teams
  • Deliver skilled interventions such as pain management, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing signs of complications
  • Communicate clearly with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff regarding patient condition and needs
  • Document care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with facility policies
  • Provide compassionate support to patients and families, addressing questions and concerns in a professional manner
