This contract role offers the opportunity to work with cardiac telemetry patients, including those with CHF, arrhythmias, chest pain, and complex comorbidities. Schedule

  • Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 36 or 48 guaranteed hours weekly (as indicated on submission)
  • Every other weekend required, no call responsibilities
  • 13-week assignment
  • Qualifications

  • Active RN license (eligible for Missouri or current Missouri license)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient cardiac telemetry experience
  • Competency in reading telemetry, caring for patients with CHF, chest pain, renal issues, hemodialysis, and managing Amio and Cardizem drips
  • Experience with central lines, including HD catheters, Ports, and PICCs
  • Compassionate, empathetic, strong team player with solid assessment skills and attention to detail
  • Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation, CIWA protocol, nitro/milrinone drips, chest tube/drain care, managing overflow patients (sepsis, surgical, ETOH/drug withdrawal)
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
  • Coordinate with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
  • Oversee and support other direct caregivers, maintaining a high standard of care
  • Ensure strict compliance with patient rights, confidentiality, and facility mission and values
  • Demonstrate adaptability—float as needed to similar/lower acuity units
  • Additional Requirements

  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption mandatory November 1–April 1
  • Black scrubs with facility-specific logo required
