You’ll be part of a skilled, motivated team handling complex cases in cardiac surgery, neuro/neurosurgical care, and advanced interventions such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position
  • Work within a 15-bed unit, featuring a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
  • Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Demonstrated success completing a proctored rhythm test
  • Prior experience working in a high-acuity critical care environment preferred
  • Confidence in managing post-cardiac surgery, post-transplant, cardiac arrest, and advanced cardiac device patients
  • Ability to care for adolescent through late adult (14–60+) patient populations
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based, high-quality patient care to those recovering from open heart surgery and undergoing advanced interventions
  • Monitor, assess, and respond rapidly to critical changes in patient conditions
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other RNs and Patient Care Techs
  • Provide comprehensive education and emotional support to patients and their families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Uphold infection prevention and all patient safety standards
