Embark on your next nursing assignment specializing in CVICU care with an opportunity to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. This contract role offers exposure to a nationally recognized teaching hospital featuring a Trauma Level III center, advanced cardiac services, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts (1845 – 0715)
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Expectation to work 75% of holidays
  • Schedule cycle updates every 6 weeks
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Critical Care
  • Proficiency in administering vasoactive medications, managing ventilators, CRRT, various surgical drains, and chest tubes
  • Advanced skill with invasive lines and devices, such as arterial lines, PA catheters, and transvenous pacemakers; experience with IABP/Impella preferred
  • Experience with EMR (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitoring
  • Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver direct nursing care to critically ill cardiac and surgical patients
  • Interpret and respond to complex clinical information, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and IV/VAT teams (all available 24/7)
  • Float as needed within regional facilities, remaining within defined scope of practice
  • Maintain continuity of care and documentation throughout any floating shifts
