Seeking a skilled emergency room nurse to provide expert care in a dynamic, 48-treatment space emergency department. This contract position offers night shifts on a 3x12 schedule, allowing for consistency and ample time off between shifts. This role is best suited for an experienced RN with a passion for emergency medicine and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity settings.

Schedule:

  • Night shifts
  • 3x12 hour schedule

    • What’s Needed:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an emergency department
  • Proficiency in triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization of diverse patient populations
  • Ability to manage a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
  • Demonstrated capability working night shifts in a busy ED setting

    • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional, compassionate care to patients with acute and emergent health needs
  • Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to carry out care plans and respond to urgent situations
  • Perform accurate triage, ongoing assessment, and documentation
  • Administer medications and therapies per provider orders and protocols
  • Educate patients and families to support understanding and recovery
  • Maintain high standards for patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control
