In this role, you will:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a valid Minnesota LPN license
  • Maintain an active CPR/AED certification
  • Demonstrate prior experience working with children or in a school-based health setting
  • Possess hands-on skills in tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • Be comfortable supporting high-needs students with complex medical and/or developmental needs
  • Willingness to provide care aboard the school bus during student transportation
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dedicated, compassionate 1:1 nursing support to a student with a trach tube
  • Monitor and manage tracheostomy care, including timely suctioning according to medical needs
  • Follow the individualized healthcare plan, delivering and documenting all care provided
  • Ride the school bus with the student before and after school to ensure consistent support
  • Maintain thorough daily records of all interventions and observations
  • Work collaboratively with health services, school staff, and the student’s family to ensure holistic care and effective communication
