As the consulting school nurse, you’ll primarily focus on assessing health plans and providing consultative care for students who may require medical attention during their school day—including supporting a student with seizure management needs. You’ll be onsite just two days a week, working six hours each day, collaborating with educational staff to develop and implement safe, effective individual medical plans for students with various health needs.

This contract role is ideal for professionals comfortable working independently, who are experienced in school nursing and ready to shape health protocols in a supportive, flexible setting.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Idaho
  • Previous experience as a school nurse is required
  • Proven ability to oversee medical plans, especially for students with chronic health conditions such as seizures
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Comfortable delivering care, training, and consultation in an educational environment
  • Must be able to work onsite twice a week, six hours per day
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update individualized healthcare plans for students as needed
