Registered Nurse (RN) - School-Based Opportunity | Texas
We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide one-on-one support for an elementary-aged student in a school setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on a student's daily success by ensuring their medical needs are met throughout the school day and during transportation.
This is a full-time role supporting a single K-5 student, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with the student, family, and school staff while providing consistent, individualized care.
Position Details
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- ASAP start
- Assignment through May 2027
- Elementary school caseload (K-5)
- School-based setting
- Accompany student on the bus to and from home each day
Requirements
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Tracheostomy (Trach) experience required
- Comfortable providing one-on-one care to a medically fragile student
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to student health needs
Preferred Background
- Pediatric nursing experience
- School nursing experience
- Experience with medically complex children
- Familiarity with tracheostomy care and monitoring
