Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current, active LPN license issued by the state of Georgia
  • Experience in a 1:1 nursing position within a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Proficient in managing gastrostomy tube (g-tube) feeding and changes
  • Competence in providing supplemental oxygen and performing routine vital sign monitoring
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, and compassion
  • Ability to follow IEP and physician’s orders precisely
  • Comfortable riding the school bus and assisting during transitions from home to school and back
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized nursing care for a 5th-grade student, ensuring safety and well-being throughout the day
  • Meet student at home each morning, accompany them on the school bus to and from school, and maintain vigilant care during transportation
  • Administer daily treatments as prescribed, including g-tube management, oxygen supplementation, and regular vital sign assessments
  • Communicate proactively with the student’s family, teaching staff, and healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate records aligned with nursing standards and school protocols
  • Respond efficiently in case of emergencies, following established care plans and school procedures
