Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a dedicated 5th grade student as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a school setting. This position plays a central role in ensuring the student's safety, well-being, and access to education through comprehensive medical care and daily support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the student at home each morning and accompany them via bus to school and back, in accordance with their IEP and physician’s instructions
  • Provide direct nursing interventions, including monitoring vitals, g-tube and G/J-tube feeding, medication administration, oral suctioning, and managing supplemental oxygen
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to seizures and asthma-related concerns
  • Maintain clear, accurate records of care and communicate with school staff and family as needed
  • Ensure all support and interventions follow medical orders, school protocols, and nursing best practices
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia LPN license required
  • Previous experience in a 1:1 school nursing setting preferred
  • Skilled in seizure protocols, g-tube/G/J-tube feeding, oral suctioning, oxygen therapy, medication administration, and managing asthma
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, maintain confidentiality, and communicate professionally
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to start early mornings
  • This is an onsite position, ideal for a caring, skilled nurse who values consistency and meaningful connections. The contract runs from August 2026 through May 2027, with a Monday–Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week), offering the opportunity to develop a strong rapport with the student and contribute significantly to their educational journey.
