Make a real impact by supporting students with complex medical needs in this dynamic contract opportunity for a licensed LVN/LPN. In this full-time, full school year role (30 hours per week), you’ll provide vital 1:1 care to medically fragile students. This itinerant position allows you to engage with students across multiple locations, helping shape a safer and healthier school day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current LVN/LPN licensure
  • Prior experience working in school settings is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of gastrostomy care, bladder cauterization, and diabetes management (including CGM use and carb counting)
  • Skillful in supporting students with ASD, developmental delays, and other complex health conditions ranging from ages 4-22
  • Experience administering medication such as epinephrine, Benadryl, and related
  • Ability to manage hypo- and hyperglycemic events competently
  • Confidence training staff and partnering with parents
  • Bilingual Spanish skills a plus
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, compassionate care to assigned students as a 1:1 nurse
  • Review, update, and implement seizure and individualized health plans
  • Train school staff on safe health procedures and protocols
  • Communicate effectively with families, ensuring familiarity with student needs
  • Remain prepared to respond to urgent health situations
  • Rotate between students and various campuses, maintaining flexibility and professionalism
