Step into an impactful role supporting students’ wellbeing for a short-term contract this summer. Provide direct care as an LPN across elementary, middle, and high school settings. This dynamic, school-based opportunity around Reading, PA, offers a Monday through Thursday schedule from 7:30am to 12:30pm, running from July 6th through July 30th—perfect for those who value both balance and meaningful work.

You’ll serve as a floating nurse, assisting in health rooms rather than 1:1 assignments. Your expertise will ensure students receive the care and support they need throughout the day.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active LPN license in Pennsylvania
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong assessment and communication skills
  • Flexibility to move between various school levels and adapt to diverse needs
  • Ability to interact professionally with students, parents, and staff
  • Pediatric experience a plus
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to students in health room settings
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician’s orders and school policy
  • Assess and document student health concerns or injuries
  • Work collaboratively with school team members to support student health initiatives
  • Maintain accurate health records and protect student confidentiality
  • Offer guidance and support for chronic condition management (e.g. diabetes, asthma)
  • Respond promptly and calmly to medical emergencies
