Step into an impactful role supporting a 3rd grade student as a per diem school nurse for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position offers the chance to work in a one-on-one setting, providing dedicated care to a trach and vent-dependent student and ensuring their well-being during the school day. Assignments run from September 11, 2026, through June 9, 2027, with required dates including 9/11, 9/14, and 10/23. The workday spans 7:20 AM to 4:00 PM, aligning closely with the school calendar—no nights, weekends, or holiday shifts required.

Preferred candidates are experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), Registered Nurses (RN), or Certified School Nurses (CSN) who can confidently support trach and vent care without need for additional training or refreshers. Your day will start by meeting at the student’s home to accompany them on the bus and will conclude with their safe return.

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN, LVN, RN, or CSN license
  • Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care
  • Comfortable providing individualized care in a school setting
  • Flexibility to work other assignments if needed
  • Commitment to punctuality for early morning arrivals
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care and monitor a medically complex student throughout the school day
  • Provide trach and vent support, including bus riding to and from school
  • Collaborate with staff and family to maintain student safety and comfort
