Registered Nurse (RN) – School-Based Position

Location: West Orange, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract
Schedule: 35 hours per week

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing services in a school setting in West Orange, New Jersey. This is a full-time contracted position offering the opportunity to support students and collaborate with school staff in a welcoming educational environment.

Position Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care and support to students throughout the school day
Assess and monitor student health needs
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Respond to illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies
Maintain accurate and confidential health records
Communicate with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers as appropriate
Develop and implement individualized health plans when needed
Promote student health, safety, and wellness
Follow school district policies and applicable nursing standards
Qualifications
Current and valid New Jersey RN license
Active CPR/BLS certification
Previous pediatric, school nursing, or healthcare experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care
