School Nurse - RN
Soliant is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide school health and nursing services to a public school community near Tuolumne County, CA, for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year.
This opportunity is ideal for an RN who is passionate about student health, can work independently, and is comfortable supporting students with a variety of healthcare needs, particularly within special education.
Assignment Details
Position: School Nurse
Schedule: Full-Time
Dates: ASAP – June 2027
Setting: Onsite, school-based
Service Distribution: Approximately 80% special education services and 20% general education services
Responsibilities
Provide school health and nursing services to the public school community throughout Tuolumne County.
Support the healthcare needs of students receiving special education and general education services.
Monitor student health needs and respond appropriately to medical concerns and emergencies.
Support students with a variety of disabilities and individualized healthcare needs.
Collaborate with school staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote student health and safety.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation and follow applicable school health protocols.
Work independently to assess and address student health needs across the assigned setting.
Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.
Required Qualifications
Active California RN License.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
Willingness to apply for a Preliminary Credential and/or School Nurse Services Credential, as applicable.
Ability to work independently and provide professional nursing services in a school-based environment.
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with students with various disabilities.
School-based nursing experience.
Experience supporting students with complex healthcare needs.
Ability to collaborate effectively with special education teams, school staff, and families.
