This contract position, serving students across grades K-12, provides the unique chance to support the physical and emotional well-being of children near the Edison, NJ area.

Candidates may be assigned a variety of responsibilities, providing coverage in the health room or supporting individual students on a 1:1 basis, depending on daily needs. Flexibility and a passion for pediatric care are key for success in this important role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver professional nursing care to students from kindergarten through high school.
  • Respond to health needs, injuries, and emergencies in accordance with school protocols.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate health records.
  • Act as a health advocate, communicating with staff, families, and healthcare providers as appropriate.
  • Adapt to either health room coverage or individual student (1:1) assignments.
  • Promote healthy habits and provide education on wellness and safety.

    • Preferred Background:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license.
  • Previous nursing experience in a pediatric, school, or similar setting strongly preferred.
  • Confidence in providing one-on-one care as well as general population care.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting situations and case loads.
