Required Qualifications:

  • Current, active NY State LPN or RN license (required)
  • Experience in school nursing or providing care in classroom settings (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration, respiratory treatments, and tube feeding protocols
  • Ability to work independently and in a team within special education programs
  • Clear communication skills and a compassionate, adaptable demeanor
  • Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care—including medication administration, respiratory treatments, and tube feedings—to students in self-contained classrooms
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records per state and district protocols
  • Monitor student health needs and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, aides, and therapists
  • Provide emergency interventions and ongoing health education to students and staff
  • Ensure compliance with all state and district health and safety guidelines
  • These contract positions run from July 6 through August 14, with opportunities available in Bath, Hornell, and Elmira (PreK and high school settings).
