What you bring:

  • Active RN license in New Jersey.
  • Previous experience in school settings preferred; school health nurse credential is a plus.
  • Confidence managing daily medications, diabetes care, seizures, and other school health concerns.
  • Ability to comfortably accompany students on bus rides for field trips or cover front office nursing duties as needed.
  • Flexibility to work across elementary, middle, and high school buildings.
  • Professional references are required; interview waived for streamlined onboarding.

    • Your responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing services, including medication administration, diabetes monitoring, and first aid response.
  • Monitor students with specific health needs, including those with seizure plans or chronic conditions.
  • Chart accurately and communicate clearly with staff, families, and administration.
  • Support students during field trips and special events by serving as the on-site medical resource.
  • Step into front office nursing or other health duties when coverage is needed, ensuring consistent care throughout the school.
  • Uphold best practices in school health per guidelines and protocols set by a highly organized supervisor.
