Join a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a young student’s health and educational journey in a school-based setting near Richland, WA. This essential role is ideal for an experienced RN seeking a meaningful assignment providing one-on-one care in an Early Learning Center environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Mornings: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Student day: 9:30 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.
  • Expected shift: Approximately 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (including transportation duties)
  • Average of 4 hours of work per day, with exact transportation times finalized by district routing
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous, dedicated 1:1 nursing support for a young student with complex medical needs
  • Deliver care during transportation on the special education bus to/from school and throughout the entire school morning in the classroom
  • Monitor the student’s health, promptly respond to medical concerns, and ensure safety at all times
  • Administer G-tube feedings, manage medication, and oversee all activities of daily living for a non-ambulatory, non-verbal student
  • The student requires vigilant care due to chronic, life-threatening respiratory needs stemming from Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, with additional diagnoses including Cerebral Palsy and dysphagia. Professional nursing presence is vital to support daily functioning, learning, and well-being.

    Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure in good standing
  • Experience providing care for pediatric patients with respiratory illnesses, G-tube feeding, and significant physical/developmental disabilities
  • Strong assessment skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions in a school or pediatric healthcare environment
  • Compassion, patience, and dedication when working with children requiring total care and medical support
  • Ability to coordinate with transportation and school staff collaboratively
