Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in California
  • Previous experience as a school nurse, pediatric nurse, or in a similar healthcare setting
  • Strong assessment skills and a genuine interest in pediatric care
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, working effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to maintain accurate health records and ensure confidentiality
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred

    • Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.), documenting results and following up as needed
  • Provide immediate care to students for injuries or illnesses during the school day
  • Administer prescribed medications and support daily health needs for students with chronic conditions
  • Educate students and staff about healthy habits, hygiene, and disease prevention
  • Maintain up-to-date student health files, ensuring compliance with local and state policies
  • Collaborate with educators, administration, and parents to identify and address student health concerns
