Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, active license.
  • Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop trusting, supportive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in responding to urgent health situations and managing confidential information.

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, first aid, and emergency response.
  • Monitor and manage student health records in compliance with state regulations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside healthcare providers to support student health plans.
  • Conduct health screenings, immunization tracking, and ongoing wellness checks.
  • Advocate for health education and promote healthy habits among students and staff.
  • Gather pertinent health details from students and staff, communicating and looping in appropriate parties as needed.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs.
