Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid RN license and clear credentials to practice in Washington State
  • Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing preferred
  • Strong assessment, triage, and health education skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with students, parents, and staff
  • Organized, flexible, and committed to confidentiality and professionalism
  • CPR and First Aid certification required

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care to students with injuries, chronic health conditions, or acute illnesses
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects
  • Collaborate with teachers and guidance staff to manage health plans and emergency protocols
  • Maintain accurate health records in compliance with district and state policies
  • Conduct health screenings, immunization reviews, and referrals to outside providers when necessary
  • Promote wellness through health education and preventative initiatives
  • Respond to urgent medical situations with calm and effective action
