Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract professional in a dynamic school setting near Round Lake, IL. This full-time opportunity is ideal for experienced RN Nurses or Special Education Teachers eager to collaborate in a supportive educational environment. You’ll work a steady schedule from 8 am to 3:30 pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch) throughout the academic year, starting August 17, 2026 and continuing through May 27, 2027.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license or Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience supporting children within a school environment, preferably with special populations
  • Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs), healthcare protocols, and effective documentation practices
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage confidently with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to assess, plan, and deliver health and educational interventions to meet student needs
  • Compassion, empathy, and adaptability when addressing individual requirements
  • Collaborative approach to working within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to students with diverse needs, including administering medications, managing chronic health concerns, and emergency interventions
  • Support special education students by participating in assessments, implementing instructional or healthcare plans, and tracking progress
  • Liaise with teachers, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate cohesive, individualized student support
