Travel CVOR RN – Cardiac Surgery
A premier academic medical center in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking experienced CVOR RNs for a high-acuity cardiac surgery travel assignment. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong open-heart experience who can both scrub and circulate in a fast-paced cardiovascular operating room.
With five openings available, travelers will join a nationally recognized cardiac surgery team performing some of the most complex cardiovascular procedures in the country.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
13-week travel contract
Multiple orientation dates available
12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Monday–Friday scheduling based on department needs
No block scheduling available
Call required for all travelers (rack up some extra money this winter!)
Additional 24/7 cardiac surgery call rotation required
Float within the OR as needed
Start dates available immediately
RESPONSIBILITIES
Scrub and circulate complex cardiac surgery procedures
Assist surgeons during CABG, valve, and repeat sternotomy cases
Support ECMO, VAD, transplant, and advanced heart failure procedures
Maintain sterile technique and ensure efficient surgical workflow
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care
REQUIREMENTS
Active RN license
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
Must be able to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases
Prior travel experience required
Strong open-heart surgery experience required
Experience with complex cardiovascular procedures preferred
