This assignment presents a valuable professional growth opportunity to engage with advanced primary stroke care, develop expertise in a diverse patient population, and collaborate within a talented, supportive team. Exposure to different approaches in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing will broaden your clinical perspective, strengthen your adaptability, and enhance your résumé.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel contract; flexibility to float as needed within the defined regional network
  • Departmental orientation: 2 days, inclusive of facility orientation

    • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with a minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg and Telemetry experience
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficiency in stroke care, chest tube management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, PIV starts, trach care, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG, Hemovac, JP, flexiseals, foley insertion), and PCA pumps
  • Experience managing cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF medication required
  • Previous exposure to EMR (Epic), Alaris pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Philips monitors preferred

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive care to a diverse patient population (including stroke, COPD, GI bleeds)
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6, with surges possible
  • Collaborate with CNAs, receptionists, and a multidisciplinary medical team
  • Float within the regional system as patient care needs require, with paid time for any intra-shift travel
