Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel position; schedules may vary based on patient census and facility needs.
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (as required for area)
  • Proficiency with electronic health records
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-acuity settings
  • High-risk competency within 3 months (and annually)
  • Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per policy
  • Monitor and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Educate patients and families regarding care, medications, and discharge
  • Document all care, interventions, and outcomes accurately
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and infection control standards
  • Collaborate and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Mentor and support peers, staff, and students as needed
