Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surgical cases with attention to sterile field setup and instrument management
  • Accurately check and assemble supplies and equipment for operative procedures
  • Support surgeons and surgical teams by passing instruments, supplies, and medications
  • Perform technical tasks, including instrument and sponge counts with the RN to ensure patient safety
  • Maintain a tidy and aseptic environment throughout surgical procedures
  • Assist with patient transport, housekeeping duties, and clerical support as needed
  • Uphold hospital safety standards and vaccination requirements
  • Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s/technical degree preferred
  • Previous scrub technician or operating room experience highly valued
  • Surgery Technician certification preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification a plus
