This travel assignment will allow you to refine your clinical skills in Stepdown and Progressive Care environments, working closely with diverse medical professionals and leadership teams. You'll gain valuable insight into various workplace cultures and patient care models—experience that expands your resume and professional toolkit.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Assignments are travel-based—applicants must live more than 50 miles from Atlanta.
  • Floating may occur within a 15-mile radius to sister facilities and specialty units.
  • Traveler assignments will be communicated prior to each shift.
  • Requests for time off must be provided upfront.

    • Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to stepdown (SDU) and progressive care (PCU) patients.
  • Manage and monitor patients who are transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical floors, including those boarding in the Emergency Department.
  • Respond swiftly to changes in patient conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal care.
  • Adhere to facility and unit-specific protocols, and adapt efficiently to new environments while floating.
  • Document accurately and maintain open communication with patients, families, and care teams.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with experience in Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Stepdown Unit required.
  • Recent Stepdown/PCU clinical experience preferred.
  • Ability to float between units within specialty and to sister facilities as needed.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and adaptability skills.

    $2,348 - $2,475/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
