This travel ER nursing role places you in a large, 101-bed Emergency Department, giving you access to diverse leadership approaches and exposure to a fast-paced Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center. During your off-hours, immerse yourself in Western North Carolina’s scenic hiking, food scene, and rich arts culture.

Schedule:

  • Every other weekend
  • Flexible scheduling to meet department needs (no block scheduling)
  • Professional Experience Required:

  • Active RN license with minimum of 2 years’ experience in Level 2 trauma or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits/year)
  • At least 1 year of ER nursing experience; strong teamwork mentality and ability to coach/give feedback
  • Competency across all facets of an ED, open to working in various ED sections
  • Certifications:

  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS required before starting
  • TNCC, CPI, NIHSS required before starting
  • ENPC within 90 days of hire
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency care utilizing evidence-based practices in a diverse patient population
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, including techs and unit clerks, for optimal patient outcomes
  • Use advanced technology (Baxter pumps, GE monitors); document with Cerner EMR
  • Deliver an excellent patient experience through AIDET and ongoing updates; maintain respectful, culturally competent communication
  • Adhere to professional dress code (navy scrubs); follow department attendance and conduct policies
