Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel position; specific schedules to be confirmed based on facility needs.

    • Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications required for ED assignments (TNCC, ATCN, CEN highly preferred)
  • Proven experience caring for patients from birth through geriatrics in an emergency setting
  • Familiarity with SBAR communication, rapid triage, and patient flow in ED
  • Ability to perform advanced patient assessments, prioritize multiple needs, and manage complex situations

    • Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments upon admission, factoring in physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
  • Reassess and update patient care plans each shift based on patient condition
  • Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols, documenting effects and patient responses
  • Maintain clear, accurate records with attention to timely entry and confidentiality
  • Educate patients and families on care needs, discharge instructions, and progress
  • Analyze and interpret diagnostic data, intervening as appropriate
  • Utilize strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, restraint, and blood transfusion policies
  • Support multidisciplinary care planning and utilize the chain of command when appropriate
  • Respond to emergencies and events such as Code Blue, Code Red, and activate Rapid Response Teams as needed
