  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Recent experience in Emergency Nursing, managing patients across the age continuum from pediatric to geriatric
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications required (TNCC/ATCN/CEN highly desired)
  • Proficiency in advanced patient assessments and triage in an ER setting
  • Strong interpersonal and multidisciplinary communication skills
  • Adaptability to fast-changing situations and prioritization of patient needs
  • Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient assessments upon admission and routinely per policy, integrating holistic needs
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized patient care plans
  • Administer and document medications/treatments per established protocols
  • Accurately document care, progress, and patient education using ER documentation tools
  • Recognize and promptly communicate changes in patient status, using SBAR handoffs
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital protocols (including disaster/code response and blood transfusions)
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary planning and manage patients in restraints when necessary
  • Educate patients and families using validated resources and support discharge planning
  • Complete orientation and required ED competency checklists
