This role places you in a dynamic, fast-paced emergency department, where you'll encounter a diverse range of patients and clinical challenges. You’ll collaborate with engaged teams and expert leaders, expanding your ER skills with exposure to advanced trauma care, pediatric emergencies, and critical interventions. Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts
  • Day shift
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the ER—including trauma, psych, pediatric, and critical care cases
  • Serve in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN and manage 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Implement critical care interventions: medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusions, and chest tube management
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a positive experience
  • Uphold high standards for patient safety and quality of care while efficiently coordinating complex cases
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license to practice in DC or eligible compact state
  • Minimum of 3 years of ER nursing experience
  • NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program
  • BSN strongly preferred
  • Previous Cerner EMR experience required
  • Willingness to live at least 50 miles from facility

    $1,895 - $2,074/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
