In this travel nursing position, you'll be part of a specialized pre/post Interventional Radiology department within a Level 1 Trauma center. You'll work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive care to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in high-energy environments, particularly those interested in diagnostic imaging and sophisticated procedural care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Fast-paced setting requiring flexibility
  • Care for patients round-the-clock, including 23-hour observation
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide post-procedural recovery care, including overnight observation
  • Deliver nursing care for individuals undergoing CT, MRI, nuclear medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound
  • Support both GI and non-GI post-procedural care
  • Communicate effectively with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
  • Apply critical thinking in a rapidly changing clinical environment
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of IR nursing experience
  • Prior medical/surgical and telemetry experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and flexibility
  • Team-oriented and adaptable to various patient needs
  • Current, unencumbered New York RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
