Take your career to the next level by working in a 44-bed Ortho Neuro Trauma Care Center within a bustling teaching facility. This position serves trauma, orthopedic, and neuro patients, requiring expert skills and adaptability. You’ll interface with seasoned professionals and leadership who value collaboration and continuous learning. Exposure to a highly supportive, traveler-friendly team and dynamic care protocols will broaden your expertise, add depth to your resume, and sharpen your critical thinking abilities.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week assignment
  • 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Guaranteed 36 hours/week (option to request 48)
  • Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday
  • Float within skillset to nearby campuses, with advance notice
  • Qualifications:

  • Active, current compact RN license
  • AHA BLS and NIHSS certification
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience, including 1 year in ortho/neuro/trauma and 1 travel assignment
  • Recent trauma level II experience
  • EPIC charting proficiency (checkoff class required)
  • Proficiency in neuro assessment, patient log-rolling, use of assistive devices, Tele/12-lead EKG, PIV insertion
  • Preferred: Advanced skills in drains, drips, wound care, and neuro/orthopedic protocols
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exemplary care to trauma, ortho, and neuro patients
  • Employ critical thinking in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
  • Float to sister campuses as required (with advance notice)
  • Precept students and new hires as needed
  • Maintain compliance with policies, including dress code (navy blue scrubs)
