You'll work closely with interdisciplinary teams, engaging with advanced primary stroke care and expanding your MedSurg/Telemetry expertise. Schedule/Hours:

  • 0700-1900 and 1900-0700 shifts available
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • 6-week scheduling cycles
  • No call required
  • Holiday requirement: 75% holiday coverage
  • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 18 months MedSurg/Telemetry experience preferred
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Philips monitors
  • Desired Experience:

  • Stroke care, NIH assessments, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication drip management (including cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, IV fluids), and drain/tube management (NGT, PEG, Hemovac, JP drains, etc.)
  • Responsibilities:

  • Manage a patient load of 1:5-6 (acuity dependent, may fluctuate with census)
  • Provide evidence-based care for stroke, COPD, chest pain, GI bleed, and other common diagnoses
  • Collaborate with 24/7 hospitalist, RT, and CNAs
  • Float to multiple local facilities as needed within your scope of practice (traveling mid-shift is paid time)
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety practices, and team-driven unit culture
