In this dynamic RN-PACU role, you’ll care primarily for pediatric patients in a modern unit that handles a diverse surgical case mix, minus the cardiac specialty. Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time travel assignment
  • Shift hours vary; details provided upon interview

    • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 1 year critical care pediatric experience required (2 years preferred)
  • Previous completion of at least one travel nursing assignment (first-time travelers not accepted)
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Experience with post-anesthesia care and telemetry monitoring
  • Strong teamwork orientation; adaptable and self-motivated

    • Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients (ages 0–17), occasionally adults
  • Handle a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity
  • Manage drips common in ICU (e.g., heparin, insulin, select cardiac drips)
  • Monitor patients using EPIC EMR, Philips equipment, and Alaris pumps
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Charge RN, PACU Educator, and Anesthesia team
