Qualifications:

  • Active WA Department of Health RN license (required)
  • Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care
  • Strong proficiency in tracheostomy care, including frequent suctioning
  • Expertise in seizure management
  • Experience with 1:1 care and/or accompanying students on transportation preferred
  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a 6-year-old male student throughout the school day (Monday–Thursday, 8am–4pm; Friday, 8am–2:30pm)
  • Accompany student on school bus to and from school daily
  • Monitor, perform, and document tracheostomy care and suctioning as needed
  • Manage and respond to seizure activity and related health needs
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and parents
  • Ensure student safety and health within the school and on transportation
