Working as an RN in this Progressive Care/Stepdown unit, you'll gain hands-on experience with a range of complex medical diagnoses—from chest pain and stroke to respiratory illnesses and acute kidney injury. Enjoy exposure to diverse clinical philosophies and care delivery methods, as you collaborate across several facilities within the region. Schedule/Hours:

  • Weekend rotation: Every other
  • Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
  • No call
  • Holiday work: 75% of holidays (with approved time off available)

    • Qualifications:

  • Active RN license and minimum 18 months of PCU RN experience
  • Willing to float within division (including Cleveland and Lincoln)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (required)
  • Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and chest tube care, managing central lines, wound care, blood product administration
  • Experience with EMR (EPIC), IV pump (Alaris), Omnicell, and Phillips monitors

    • Responsibilities:

  • Manage a case load (RN: 1:4 most common; can be up to 1:5)
  • Deliver advanced stepdown care for a diverse patient group not requiring mechanical ventilation
  • Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurse, RT, phlebotomy, and other support services
  • Provide effective assessment, intervention, and documentation in a high-functioning unit
