Schedule/Hours

  • Weekend rotation every other weekend
  • No on-call shifts
  • Holiday coverage: expect to work 75% of holidays
  • Up to 6 days of approved time off (excluding holidays), with the flexibility to adjust the contract end date if needed
  • Scrub color: Navy
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 months of prior PCU/Stepdown RN experience
  • Active RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Strong skills with tracheostomies, cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, transfusions, wound care, and central line management
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care in a busy, 32-bed progressive care unit
  • Maintain safe patient ratios (typically 1:4; may flex to 1:5 with acuity)
  • Work closely with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy, and 24/7 hospitalist/intensivist teams
  • Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell supplies, and Phillips monitors
  • Float to affiliated facilities within the division as required by patient census, with paid travel for mid-shift floating
