1:1 School Nurse (RN or LPN) – Kindergarten Student

Location: House Springs, MO

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Nurse (RN or LPN) for a full-time contract position supporting a Kindergarten student in House Springs with a large range of needs. This rewarding opportunity provides one-on-one nursing care for a student attending an elementary school in a private placement severe developmental disability classroom.

Position Overview

The selected nurse will provide individualized medical care throughout the school day to ensure the student's health, safety, and access to educational opportunities. The nurse will work collaboratively with school staff, the student's family, and healthcare providers to implement the student's care plan in a supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities
Provide direct 1:1 nursing care during the school day.
Monitor the student's health status and respond appropriately to medical needs.
Administer care according to physician orders and the student's individualized healthcare plan.
Support daily medical routines, including G-tube care and feedings.
Maintain accurate documentation of nursing services and student health status.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, school staff, and family members to support the student's success.
Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment while promoting the student's participation in school activities.

Preferred Experience

Experience with or knowledge of the following conditions is highly preferred:

Bainbridge-Ropers syndrome
Chronic lung disease
Mild heart condition
Scoliosis
Reverse circadian cycle (sleep disorder)
Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care and feeding

Qualifications
Active Missouri RN or LPN license.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred.
Experience providing one-on-one care for students with complex medical needs is highly desirable.
Associates Or Bachelors Degree in Nursing
