Key Qualifications:

  • Certification as a CVOR Tech or equivalent experience in cardiovascular operating room settings
  • Demonstrated proficiency with surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
  • Strong understanding of cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
  • Ability to function seamlessly within a collaborative surgical team
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and clinical documentation standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and nursing staff with the selection and handling of instrumentation and supplies
  • Monitor and anticipate surgeon needs throughout cardiovascular surgeries
  • Safeguard patient safety through vigilant adherence to infection control and operating room protocols
  • Manage surgical specimens and ensure proper documentation as required
  • Participate in preoperative setup and postoperative breakdown of the OR suite
  • Support inventory management of surgical equipment and supplies
