Experienced registered nurses with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care are needed for a contract opportunity in a dynamic hospital environment. This assignment offers the chance to work with an accomplished surgical team, providing critical care in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

Schedule:

  • Night shifts: 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:00)
  • Weekend rotation (to be discussed during interview)
  • Variable on-call: typically one weekday/call per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks

    • Qualifications:

  • Current and active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience required
  • First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Solid knowledge of perioperative nursing practice and patient safety protocols
  • Comfortable floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed

    • Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and scrub within CVOR to support diverse cardiovascular procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control standards
  • Respond urgently to emergent situations with clinical acumen and composure
  • Participate in required on-call coverage as scheduled
  • Flexibly accommodate floating assignments as determined by patient care needs

    • Additional Expectations:

  • Must be able to work assigned major holidays according to facility holiday rotation guidelines
  • Requested time off (RTO) is permitted up to a maximum of 7 days for the duration of the contract
  • Full compliance with all facility requirements before assignment start; delays in compliance may shift orientation and start date
